Carrie Bicycle Basket (black) Review

My husband surprised me with this basket for my birthday after I decided to not buy it because it was more than I could afford. I love, love, love the looks of it!! But the engineering is a disaster.

First, we had a very tough time mounting the clamps because my handlebar curves. Finally managed.

Second, I was 10 kms away from home when I stopped to buy a few groceries. Not very heavy (about 500 grams - 1 pound), but the load caused the clamps to slip and the basket to swivel downwards. The basket was pinching my brake cable so I couldn't pedal or push the bike. I had to walk home holding the basket up to release the pressure on the brakes and push my bike.

Third, my husband tried to fix the clamps by lining them with rubber, but then they wouldn't close around the handlebar. Darn it!

Now the basket is sitting on the floor of my guest room, unuseable as a bike carrier.

Probably for the better. I have a friend who bought one after falling in love with mine, and it was stolen right off her bike. That's right--the fact that it just slots onto the hardware means anyone can remove it, no tools required. The designer did a good job, but it should go back to the ENGINEER'S drawing board.

So let's be honest. I have severe anxiety and depression issues which has gone on my whole life. I have been prescribed dozens of different meds to help with it but nothing has. First I tried hemp powder, which I also reviewed if you're interested, and it tasted like sand. It will take me all year to be able to finish the 3 lb bag and that's if I ever do. Then I tried this.

I'm very honest in my reviews so I wouldn't recommend this if it didn't truly help. It's not a placebo-effect thing, either. I have tried too many meds for that to even be a possibility, trust me.

The one thing I can tell you for certain is within the first week it greatly and noticeably increased my energy levels. I have done more around the house in the past few months than I've done in the past few years. I have gone through 2 subscriptions of this and the energy hasn't gone away. I am a big and tall person so I take 4 in the morning and 4 at night, usually.

Anyone who has depression/anxiety issues knows that sometimes you barely feel like getting out of bed most days. You get a heavy feeling like there's lead in your veins. If you've been through it then you understand what I'm talking about.

I can say with 100% honesty that it has given me way more energy and it has helped with that heavy feeling. Can I guarantee it will work? If it doesn't help, just don't buy it again. But it is sure worth a try because it might help you as much as it has me. I will take this supplement for the rest of my life, as far as I'm concerned. That's how much it has helped.

The person that gave this product one star should not have rated it saying they had to hold it with their fingers because they didnt trust the glove. She had no reason to not trust the glove because it was made for high heat. And she said there is no clamp to hold the hair...DUH thats the whole point behind this product...that way you wont have indents in your hair where the clamp was holding the hair tightly. This is a GREAT product! I too have to hold the hair pretty good to the wand but I wear the glove and have NEVER burned myself through the glove. It is made to handle the heat. I love having curls with no dents from a clamp. I have long hair so this curling iron makes gorgeous waves in my hair. If you have shorter hair I am sure it will create more of a ringlet but the length of my hair weighs it down to create pretty pretty waves. I also do not use hair products because I prefer the wavy look over the full on curls. LOVE IT!!! This item is a great price also! If you try to buy one of these at the mall where they demenstrate similar products then you will spend double the money. With a normal curing iron they dont get hot enough to hold a curl or wave to my hair. This one does! I love not having to use hair products and still having gorgeous hair all day and night long.
