The person that gave this product one star should not have rated it saying they had to hold it with their fingers because they didnt trust the glove. She had no reason to not trust the glove because it was made for high heat. And she said there is no clamp to hold the hair...DUH thats the whole point behind this product...that way you wont have indents in your hair where the clamp was holding the hair tightly. This is a GREAT product! I too have to hold the hair pretty good to the wand but I wear the glove and have NEVER burned myself through the glove. It is made to handle the heat. I love having curls with no dents from a clamp. I have long hair so this curling iron makes gorgeous waves in my hair. If you have shorter hair I am sure it will create more of a ringlet but the length of my hair weighs it down to create pretty pretty waves. I also do not use hair products because I prefer the wavy look over the full on curls. LOVE IT!!! This item is a great price also! If you try to buy one of these at the mall where they demenstrate similar products then you will spend double the money. With a normal curing iron they dont get hot enough to hold a curl or wave to my hair. This one does! I love not having to use hair products and still having gorgeous hair all day and night long.
