First the positives: the item is indeed made in Germany. The fit & finish is decent. The LED light is even & no flickering. Everything else falls down. The LENS is cheap lightweight plastic. The chromatic aberration is on par with Chinese toy lenses. The peripheral distortion is at least 50%. The body material is low quality lightweight plastic - either polystyrene, or similar breakable garbage, not PMMA. The lens cover is a trivial slip on nylon boot like something from the DollarStore. I was bitterly disappointed - for $165 you'd think German manufacturers would something to reward your spending. This is the product of overtaxed, socialized worker-first manufacturing ideology. Quality manufacturing in Europe is dead. Don't buy this.
