The Keystone Meditation BenchTM is ergonomically designed for your comfort and convenience. Unlike most meditation benches that have only one height to offer, the Keystone Meditation BenchTM can be adjusted from a height of approx 6 inches to approx 8 inches by simply moving the hips toward the low or high end of the bench as needed. The bench is tilted for situating the hips to a perpendicular position in which the spine is easily and comfortably aligned directly over the hips for support. The keystone shape also affords greater comfort to the sitting bones. If your sitting bones are narrow you will be more comfortable near the middle to front end of the bench. If your sitting bones are further apart you will be more comfortable sitting near the middle to the top of the bench where the seat is wider. Traditional meditation benches require you to first stand on the knees, place the bench, and then sit. Then to go from a sitting position to standing you must, once again, stand on the knees, this time to remove the bench and then stand. Not so with the Keystone Meditation BenchTM. Because you are straddling the bench, all that is needed is to approach the bench with a foot on either side and have a seat. When you are ready to stand, you simple stand. The bench remains as is. You can also sit comfortably in a cross-legged position by sitting near the lower end of the bench with legs folded and crossed in front. Please, never stand on the bench. Each bench comes with a comfortable cushioned top. The benches are constructed of highly durable � inch veneer laminated wood. Laminates are the designer's material of choice because they use far less hardwood forest resources and are more stable against contraction and expansion due to humid or dry climates. All benches are made in the U.S. by North Carolina craftspeople.
