I purchased this cleaner to launder my silk sheets and silk duvet cover that must be washed with a delicate non enzymatic cleaning solution. I had been using Eucalan, but noticed that not only were my sheets pilling, but no stains even budged from the fabric. To try something different, I ordered Le Blanc based on the good reviews. At first, I was a little put off by the strong baby powder-like fragrance, though I am admittedly sensitive to strong scents. The first time I used it in my front load washer, I had to re-wash the item due to the fact that a lot of suds remained. So, be careful to use a lot less than conventional detergent. Upon rewashing, I was pleased with the final outcome and figured the ultimate test would be to see if it got stains out after use and if the fabric held up better over time. What happened next is what blew me away: I left a notebook on top of my silk duvet that unbeknownst to me had an open pen in it. By the time I noticed, it had leaked an almost Dime-sized black ink stain on my WHITE silk duvet- AGH! I took the Le Blanc cleaner, dipped my finger into the pail, and gently worked the cleaner into the stain. It seemed at first to be spreading it, but with some patience and a cold water soaked towel, the stain was COMPLETELY GONE with about 5 minutes of work. I am shocked that such a delicate cleaner can work so well, and I am a believer in this detergent!
