I have used the Smart Guard Elite for about 6 weeks now. I have had serious TMJ for many years. This guard has improved my condition. It has not made it completely go away however, it is much better. I no longer have any clicking or popping. I have gone many days without symptoms at all. I am very pleased with the results.
I have never had the Smart Guard fall from it's position. I am glad it only is used on the upper teeth as it is less cumbersome. The performance that one gets out of this device depends heavily on following and executing the initial fitting instructions. When this is done properly, there is little chance of it falling out.
I am ordering another for "back-up".
