This is a good quality inspection unit. I've used it primarily for soldering and electronics close inspection. The magnifier is well-made and should work for a good long time. However, you're getting only a little bit better magnifier for the money over very cheap ones. It's up to you, but the bang for the buck seems a bit low if you buy this for yourself.
