Telnote Jumbo Caller ID - Blue LED Display Review

I bought this device for my wife. It replaces the blue globe device that we previously had which went on the fritz. We are very happy with the device. The display is large and can be read from across the room. It's very bright and clear. Not used in a bedroom so doubles as a night light during the evening hours. This was when the unit was switched to high intensity. I did have one problem that was quickly fixed. When I hooked it up as indicated in the instructions a call waiting id would not be displayed when you were already on the phone. In fact this method of connecting the unit stopped caller id from also being displayed on the phone. I fixed it by splitting the phone line at the wall jack and running a separate line to the phone (base unit) and another line to the Telnote. Works like a charm. Not sure if this was caused by our phone, Panasonic cordless, or if it would happen with all phones. But the unit description did indicate it would show call waiting id if you had that service, and it works as advertized.
