This Ultragen is very good for recovery from long distance/long duration sports. I had been using Myoplex Lite following long rides (cycling) and as the season wore on, I found my bounce-back not so bouncy. I started with Ultragen for rides over 60 miles and immediately noticed the difference. This blend of carbs and protein seems to be near perfect for my metabolism and I would recommend it for anyone wanting solid recovery from marathons, century rides, etc. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars? Taste. If you mix this with just water you will get a hint of sulfur on your taste buds. I suggest mixing with a coordinating flavor of some sports drink. That masks the "tang" quite nicely.
