This is the perfect tub for our 1 year old. I love that it doesn't have a built in seat as many of the others do. My daughter likes to move around a LOT when she's in the tub, so that would've been a problem. Also, I really love that it has a non-slip grip on the bottom (outside & inside, as well as on the "handles"). I wasn't sure how well it was going to work, but to my surprise, it works amazingly well. The other thing that helps with keeping your little one from sliding around too much is the size of the tub. The length, width, & depth are all perfect for our 1 year old, with definite room to grow. I also like that the tub is very lightweight (which you think would cause a tipping-over problem if your baby/toddler likes to stand, but it doesn't at all.... unless you only use like an inch of water). This may not be the best choice for a younger infant who cannot sit up on their own yet (unless you use an infant bath pad inside of the tub, like the one by Leachco).
Now, one of the negatives is that the draining hole at the bottom of the tub will lay flat against whatever surface you put it on, so you will have to lift up at least one side of the tub in order for the water to actually drain out while the child is in it. I was slightly annoyed by this at first, but now all I do is fold up a small washcloth under one side when I'm ready to start rinsing. The water drains kind of slow, so I also scoop some of it out with a bowl.
The other thing is that the tub is kind of big. This isn't a problem for us at all because we just leave it in our tub until we need to take a shower, then we just put in on the bath mat on the floor. But this might be annoying for some people who may want to be able to store it somewhere besides inside their own tub.
Lastly, the shipping and packaging... oh Lord. That was really the only big complaint we have about this product. When we ordered it, apparently it was out of stock, so we were told it was going to take a few weeks... try a few MONTHS! On top of that, when we FINALLY received it, the box look damaged and the tub wasn't very well packaged at all. Fortunately, for the most part, the look of the tub wasn't really damaged too much. Just a couple of scratches that we don't even notice now and probably wouldn't have even noticed if we weren't prompted to check. Since none of that compromised the performance of the tub, I still think this is a very excellent product. It's honestly the best I've been able to find that will accommodate either an infant or toddler... at a GREAT price, too!
